Located on the fourth level of the Hospital Clinicas del Este, Cafe Solarium is an adaptive reuse intervention transforming a residual circulation area into a vital social amenity. The project functions as a strategic distribution hub, articulating the flow between vertical circulation nodes, the inpatient ward, and the exterior "Solarium" terrace. Architecturally, the design prioritizes a human-centric approach to healthcare environments. By introducing a material palette of warm woods and a curated, soft lighting strategy, the intervention counteracts the clinical sterility of the hospital, providing a comforting sanctuary for patients' families.
