Costa Azul Community Park: Revitalizing the Civic Realm Located in Urbanización Costa Azul, Porlamar, this 1,873 sqm proposal transforms an abandoned lot into a dynamic community park. The project integrates three low-impact modules: an administrative/medical center, a public services hall, and a small police module. Surrounded by native landscaping, game areas, playgrounds, and custom concrete seating. By preserving local flora and prioritizing social activation, the design turns an underutilized space into a soft, contextual urban anchor.

Costa Azul Community Park is an urbanistic proposal located in Urbanización Costa Azul, Porlamar, Venezuela. Covering approximately 1,873 square meters, the project reclaims a long-neglected lot (previously functioning as an informal dumping site). And restores its original purpose as a vibrant public realm. Designed as a direct response to the community's need for recreational space, the proposal features three built modules: an administrative facility (housing HOA offices, an archive, and a consultation room for itinerant medical services), a public services hub (with restrooms, storage, and an events hall), and a small local police module. The remainder of the site is dedicated to open-air civic life, incorporating plazas, walkways, table game zones, children's playgrounds, and integrated concrete seating. Rooted in environmental sensitivity, the design preserves existing native flora by building around mature trees and transplanting specimens, seamlessly inserting a soft, human-scaled intervention into the urban fabric.
